Midnight Cinderella was my first Ikemen Series game — I started in 2017 with Giles’s route (and wow… what a confusing intro to palace romance).

The story begins with you, a kind-hearted and polite tutor, searching for a flower your student requested. Instead of a peaceful errand, you’re suddenly scouted to become the next princess of Wysteria. Thrown into palace life with no noble background, you must compete as a princess candidate and choose a romantic partner — all while navigating rumors, power plays, and your own heart.

The main character is refined and emotionally gentle, often blushing and trying her best to stay composed. She doesn’t shout or rebel — she’s more reserved and sincere, which pairs beautifully with the game’s dreamy, elegant fantasy.

From here, your journey unfolds with 10 romanceable men — each offering a unique route and layered personality, from icy royalty to forbidden players and secret softies. Choices affect your love meter, which determines the CGs and letters you unlock, but the ending itself (Romantic or Dramatic) is picked at the end of the route.

Want it fluffy? Go Honey. Want drama? Go Sugar. Want it all? There’s Ever After: Classic or Royal. You can even unlock their adorable companion pets (like owls, rabbits, and panthers) along the way.

He never stops being royalty, but the vulnerability he hides makes him unforgettable.

He’s intellectual, possessive, and completely unreadable — which makes for a spicy route, if a slightly frustrating one.

Sid is a menace in the best way. He flirts with zero shame, hides deep trauma behind smirks, and turns danger into desire. The Ever After stories give even more depth to his guilt and longing.

5. Leo — Spontaneous Sweetheart

Leo is sunshine. He’s bold, affectionate, and completely driven by emotion. His impulsiveness makes him lovable — he’s the type to act on instinct and figure things out later. 6. Albert — Distant Sexy

Albert is the man who will break your heart and say it’s for your own good. There’s beauty in that restraint, but it can also feel cold if you don’t connect with him early on. Benjamin the bunny gives him the soft points he refuses to show.

7. Louis — Tsundere Sexy

If you love working hard for a rare “I love you,” this one’s for you. The falcon is a cool bonus — very fitting for someone who’s elegant but untouchable.

8. Alyn — Easier Love (Feels Canon)

Alyn felt like the main route — probably because he’s the most balanced and accessible love interest. His route has minimal conflict and lots of comfort. It’s cute, gentle, and safe… but maybe a little too safe. He’s the boy-next-door of the palace, and while that’s sweet, it didn’t hit the way some of the more complicated routes did.

9. Robert — Older Brother Vibe

Robert just gave me tutor-turned-brother energy the entire route. He’s kind and steady, but his affection feels more protective than romantic. Something about his arc felt a little off, and he never felt fully open. The lack of tension or surprise made this one harder to connect with emotionally — it was sweet, but forgettable.

10. Nico — Childhood Friend

Nico had so much potential, but his route just didn’t land for me. The “childhood friend” angle leaned more toward unrequited love than romantic progression, and the pacing felt rushed near the end. He’s adorable and loyal, but the route didn’t give him the emotional spotlight he deserved.

💭 Final Thoughts

Midnight Cinderella is a sweet, dramatic, and sometimes messy fairytale that made me fall in love with the Ikemen Series. It’s unvoiced, old-school mobile format, and a little slow by today’s standards — but the romance is still real, and the characters (even the shady ones) are unforgettable.

The game gave me flirtatious chaos (hi, Sid), cold royalty, dramatic Ever Afters, and even a bunny named Benjamin. Whether you’re into royalty, knights, or your manipulative tutor, there’s someone in this castle for you.
