Fangirl ร Callboy, Vol. 1
Dear Reader,
I went into Fangirl ร Callboy expecting something a LOT spicier, considering the premise. But what I got was a surprisingly sweet, funny, and adorable romantic comedy!
Our female lead, Sakurako, is a shut-in otaku obsessed with a crossdressing character from her favorite erotic RPG. Wanting to understand what her favorite character experiences, she hires a callboy named Fuji.
But here’s where things get interesting! Fuji happens to enjoy the very same game. They don’t even have the same favorite character, but that shared interest is enough for them to connect.
Instead of doing what he was originally hired for, they spend the night gaming together. And honestly? I LOVED THAT.
Their friendship is genuinely adorable. I especially enjoyed seeing Fuji encourage Sakurako to experience more of the world outside her room.
BUT FUJI?! Why is this man blushing so much?! Sir, aren’t you supposed to be the professional here? Why are YOU the one getting flustered?!
I also have questions about Sakurako’s family. They’re practically never around, and I’m curious whether we’ll learn more about that in future volumes.
Overall, Volume 1 was funny, charming, and much sweeter than I expected. Their chemistry is wonderful, and I’m excited to see how their relationship develops!

Why It Worked for Me
I loved that their relationship begins with something as simple as enjoying the same game. There’s no need to rush the romance. Their friendship and awkward interactions make their developing feelings even cuter.
My Favorite Part
Fuji getting flustered around Sakurako! There’s something so funny about a professional callboy being the one who can’t stop blushing. I’m absolutely here for it.
Fangirl ร Callboy, Volume 2
Expected English Release: February 23, 2027
I’m already looking forward to seeing how Sakurako and Fuji’s relationship develops! It also looks like this might be a three-volume series, although I’m keeping an eye out for confirmation.
Will Fuji finally stop blushing so much? Honestly, I kind of hope not!
