Love at First Memory, Vol. 1 opens with a dramatic and entertaining premise. Mia Takanashi wakes up from a coma with no memories, only to find herself surrounded by multiple men claiming to be deeply connected to her life. Within moments, she is introduced to a boyfriend, a childhood connection, an arranged fiancé, and a mysterious stranger whose role remains completely unclear.

Mia is the sole daughter of the prestigious Takanashi family, a wealthy and influential household whose legacy carries enormous social and financial weight. Because of that, her future marriage is not just personal. It also has major implications for family expectations, power, and inheritance. That tension gives the story an extra layer, since every romantic connection comes with the question of whether the feelings involved are genuine, strategic, or something in between.

The cast makes a strong first impression. Kei Mitsui has a soft and comforting presence, while Ririto Suzumura feels outgoing and charismatic in a way that hints there is more going on beneath the surface. Tsurugi Jinguuji falls neatly into the tsundere role, but his emotional conflict adds to his charm. Issei Asami stands out the most. His repeated appearances, unclear intentions, and habit of showing up at exactly the right moment make him the most intriguing figure in the volume.

Mia’s amnesia works well as a storytelling device because the reader is trying to sort through the truth alongside her. Even the sweetest interactions feel uncertain, and that uncertainty keeps the romance interesting. There is an intentionally chaotic edge to the setup, but it is part of what makes the story so fun to read.

The volume ends on a strong cliffhanger that raises even more questions, especially about Issei’s true connection to Mia. Overall, this is a promising first volume with an attractive cast, a playful but suspenseful setup, and enough intrigue to make continuing the series feel easy.
