Summary

This story follows two high-school girls cast as the prince and princess in a school play — except both roles are played by girls. Ye-Seo, adored for her “prince-like” charm, is pushed into the role again, especially once the drama club reveals Sua only agreed to be the princess because Ye-Seo would be by her side.

Ye-Seo secretly has a crush on Sua, but she’s painfully stiff and nervous during rehearsals. After school, Sua helps her relax by practicing lines together, even switching some of the prince/princess dialogue to ease her nerves. When Sua leaves with a handsome guy afterward, Ye-Seo spirals, assuming he must be her boyfriend and thinking they look like the “real” prince and princess.

On the day of the play, Ye-Seo panics when she realizes there’s a kissing scene. She worries Sua won’t want it — especially after seeing her smiling and blushing toward the same guy in the audience. Feeling defeated, Ye-Seo begins crying right before their final lines.

Sua immediately goes off-script, pulls Ye-Seo close, kisses her deeply, and delivers the line “You’re beautiful” herself. After the performance, Sua introduces the mysterious guy… who turns out to be her brother. The final image shows the girls intimately close, wearing matching rings — clearly together and happy.

My Thoughts

This oneshot is pure WLW softness. The shy longing, the stage lights, and the pastel emotional tension all hit so perfectly. Ye-Seo’s nerves and quiet crush feel so real — especially that painful moment when she assumes she’s already “lost” to someone else.

Sua taking control of the moment, rewriting the script, and kissing her on stage was everything. And the reveal that the “rival” was actually her brother? Iconic sapphic plot twist.
