Summary
Tsuyuri, a refined heiress raised under strict expectations, enters an arranged marriage with Narimiya Kouchi. The moment they wed, he tells her the marriage is purely obligation — she can do what she wants, as long as she leaves him alone. Surprisingly, she finds freedom in that.
Discovering VTubers, events, merch, and otaku culture, she finally feels alive. But everything changes when she runs into Kouchi at a fan event — revealing he’s secretly an otaku too. Their walls slowly break, forming a sweet, shared world hidden from judgment.
As Tsuyuri learns the truth about Kouchi’s harsh upbringing, she becomes the first person to stand up for him. Healing, confessions, and generational closure follow — transforming their “loveless marriage” into something deeply real.
Characters
Narimiya (Previously Kujou) Tsuyuri – Female Lead A sheltered, elegant young woman who finds freedom and joy in otaku life. Soft-hearted, expressive, and surprisingly fierce for those she loves.
Narimiya Kouchi – Male Lead A quiet heir with a hidden otaku passion. Reserved, gentle, and emotionally wounded — but deeply loyal once he opens up.
Kageshima-san – Head Butler The secret backbone of the family. Loyal, wise, protective, and the keeper of generations of hidden truths.
Chouko – Kouchi’s Grandmother Once the beloved heart of the Narimiya household. Her history shapes both families and sets the stage for Tsuyuri and Kouchi’s marriage.
Torano – Kouchi’s Grandfather A stern patriarch shaped by grief. His harshness wounded Kouchi deeply, but his arc offers emotional closure.
Kayako – Kouchi’s Mother A tragic figure whose choices were shaped by fear and survival. Her story adds emotional depth to Kouchi’s past.
My Thoughts
I loved this so much. It gave me *Wotakoi* vibes in the best way — cute, healing, and super relatable as someone who used to hide my otaku side too. Watching Tsuyuri and Kouchi build a shared space of comfort and vulnerability was honestly beautiful.
The emotional closure with Kouchi’s grandfather? So good. The final confession? Even better. My only wish is that we got a glimpse of their married life after the ending — because their dynamic is adorable.
Short, sweet, soft, and full of heart. I highly recommend this one!
