Synopsis

A cold reaper spends his days guiding souls to the afterlife while avoiding the memories of who he once was. Everything changes when he meets Waiting, a persistent spirit who refuses to move on and claims they were once lovers in a past life as imperial princes.

As they travel together through the realm of lost souls, Waiting tries to help the Reaper remember their shared past while the Reaper struggles between his duty and the possibility of a love that once ended in tragedy.

My Thoughts

This was such a beautiful and emotional read. The art is soft and almost watercolor-like, with a moody, ethereal feel that perfectly matches the story. Every panel feels delicate and intentional.

The connection between Reaper and Waiting is what really stands out. Their relationship feels quiet, heavy, and full of longing, especially with the past life element adding so much weight to every moment. Watching the Reaper struggle between his duty and what he has forgotten gives the story a constant emotional pull. It is gentle, a little haunting, and definitely one that stays with you after finishing.
