Sou and Shinba are supposed to be sworn enemies, but Sou has a massive secret crush on Shinba. Unfortunately, he’s so painfully shy that his feelings keep coming across as hostility!

I went into this expecting a rivals-to-lovers BL, but I wasn’t prepared for how funny and adorable it would be!
The entire misunderstanding between Sou and Shinba had me laughing. Sou isn’t actually trying to be a jerk. He’s just incredibly awkward around the person he likes, and apparently being intimidating is easier than admitting his feelings!
And can we talk about Sou’s blushing expressions?! They were easily one of my favorite parts of the entire manga. He was so cute, especially whenever his tough exterior completely fell apart.
I also loved how their romance developed. Sou might have fallen first, but Shinba DEFINITELY fell harder! Watching their relationship grow from misunderstandings into something genuinely sweet was such a fun experience.
Another thing I appreciated was the supporting cast. Their gang members were surprisingly supportive, and I loved the inclusion of the drag café and LGBTQ+ representation. Everyone felt welcoming, and the actual criminals were the real problem rather than the characters’ identities or relationships.
We even get some sweet moments involving Shinba’s family, which made their relationship feel even more meaningful.
There is a little spice toward the end, but personally, I would’ve loved a bit more! That’s really my biggest complaint.
Overall, this was such a funny, wholesome, and charming BL. If you enjoy awkward crushes, hilarious misunderstandings, and romances where one character falls first and the other falls harder, I’d absolutely recommend it!

The comedy never overshadowed the romance. Sou’s awkwardness was genuinely funny, but the story also gave Shinba room to develop his own feelings.
I especially liked that the people around them were supportive instead of creating unnecessary relationship drama.
Sou’s shy expressions, without a doubt! Every time he tried to act tough and ended up completely flustered, I loved him even more.
