When I tell you this story was short it was SHORT. It felt even shorter because it was AWESOME—I wanted more and to see their future.
The tale opens with Princess Dam Jin reporting about a thief plaguing the kingdom to Emperor Dam Jeong. Her twin brother Dam Jun argues about her temper, which quickly leads to an announcement: the royal tradition of marrying neighboring princes to strengthen alliances, and Jin has been chosen. She protests (“why not Jun?”) and hatches a plan with Seohyeon to steal the royal seal and stop the marriage. They trigger traps, get caught, and the emperor accelerates the ceremony.

At the wedding, the “prince” is an actual child. Jin and Seohyeon stage a fake abduction with Seohyeon dressed as the thief, declaring Jin the nation’s treasure and future empress. Seohyeon kisses Jin to sell the ruse—cue Jin’s stunned silence—when smoke erupts and the real thief appears…the child prince.
He admits surprise at being impersonated but agrees to help, asking only that when he’s grown they remain friends. He vanishes; the pair flee.
Later, the emperor reveals Jin—not Jun—is the better ruler and she should prepare for the trials to guide the nation. Seohyeon arrives to celebrate; after the kiss, Jin’s bashful and flustered. The ending is abrupt—“They Lived Happily Ever After”—without defining their future relationship.
